International Outreach Program

backed by over 15 years of experience offering educational programs & resources to women and youth, Divine Images Network now offers a global outreach program for teens which combine international community service projects with cultural immersion, travel and outdoor adventure.

Divine Images Network is about working toward positive change. We feel that taking action can help make a lasting difference. Whether national or international we work in collaboration with local service organizations to further their goals and aspirations through volunteerism and outreach. These relationships enable students to gain cultural experience while becoming part of significant, well-established projects. Skills and learning are fostered through hands-on participation.

Each program location offers a distinctive focus. Teambuilding, leadership and self-reliance development are natural parts of living and working in close community with common goals. All programs focus on these and are further enhanced during the Divine Images Network Forum. Distinctive to Divine Images Network is that, when our time is up, we are able to offer financial help with a direct donation to the service organizations with which we have worked. This helps fund these and other projects in an ongoing way.

Additionally, all participants are enrolled in the President's Volunteer Service Award Program - an official recognition system originated by President George Bush, Sr. in 1992, for outstanding students who participate in voluntary community service.

While taking part in a Divine Images Network project, you are guaranteed to grow from your experience and develop a sense of achievement by doing things of which you never thought yourself capable. It might be from the broadening of knowledge gained through interacting with new people from different cultures or from the feeling that you are doing your part to help. You might also acquire a greater appreciation for the world in which you live and the things that you hold important in your life.

The international outreach trip is always hosted within the month of June every year. This is a componet of the girls mentoring program and you must be a female volunteer within the organization for at one year prior to travel. Unforunately this are of the program is not open to the general public or males.

This year 2010, we are traveling to the US Virgin Islands and we depart Thursday, June 24th, returning Thursday, July 1st. There is a group of 20 traveling and the girls have worked extremely hard this to earn their previlege to travel. The girls must have completed the required assignments and particpated in at 75% of the program meetings, activities and special events. They will all be enrolled in the President's Volunteer Service Award Program.
